Trong tiến tình thay má phanh cho xe có phanh tay điện, cần rút và đóng piston phanh trước và sau khi thay má phanh, Rút và đóng piston do hộp điều khiển phanh tay kích hoạt. Kích hoạt pistion bằng một trong ba cách:
Cách 1 : Chọn Guided Function => Service work =>
Removing and installing brake pads
Cách 2 :Chọn Guided Function => 53 – Parking brake – J540 - =>Removing and installing brake pads
Cách 3 : Chọn Guided Fault Finding=>Running gear => 01 – Self- diagnosis – compatible system => 53 - Parking brake – J540=> 53 – J540 - Elec. Park brake control unit, funcions => Removing and Removing and installing brake pads
- Plug diagnostic connector into the vehicle. - Switch on ignition.
- Release the electric park and handbrake.
In the following procedure the fault memory is interrogated

In this program the following steps are run through: - Start brake pad change (open brakes completely). - Change brake pads. - End brake pad change (close brakes).

-1- Start brake pad change (open brakes completely)
-2-End brake pad change (close brakes)

The brakes are fully open. Note: When you quit the test program or if the diagnostic link is cut the brake can not be closed with the parking brake control element (the warning lamp on the dash and the warning lamp in the parking brake control element flash). When brake pad changing is completed the brake must be closed again with the -End brake pad change- test step. Which test step do you want to run through next?
-1- Change brake pads
-2- End brake pad change (close brakes)
-3- ABORT
